Congratulations to North Steyne who featured again strongly this year at the Sydney Northern Beaches Branch Surf Lifesaving Awards. We took home 5 awards and moved up one position to 3rd place in the Most Outstanding Club of Year Award, with only Freshwater (2nd) and North Palm Beach (1st) being considered better. ย That is certainly an impressive result!
All awards reflect the work done by everyone in the Club. Thank you to all our members and directors for your hard work and commitment this last season.
Congratulations to Tracey Hare-Boyd for being awarded Outstanding Service. Given everything that Tracey has done for both North Steyne and the branch no one would be surprised by this award.
Congratulations to David Cowell for winning Volunteer of Year. There is no one in the Club with a bigger heart and engine than David Cowell. It is simply breathtaking to watch his unlimited energy and the breadth of things he gets involved in with the Club.
Congratulations as well to Tony Falzarano for winning Administrator of Year. Administration and finance was one of the most important areas in the Club that improved this year. North Steyne is in a substantially better financial position than last season in part through Tony’s efforts. Tony certainly worked very hard and this award is well deserved.
Congratulations to David Guthrie and the Nippers team for Wet n’ Wild winning the Community Education Program of the Year. It was the second time that Wet n’ Wild have won this award, which again demonstrates the very positive impact this program achieves.
There were many other nominations from the Club that would have been equally deserving but missed out. ย Congratulations to everyone once again โ a great success!
