Patrol Substitution Procedure


We understand that you won’t be able to make all your patrols so to help us make sure North Steyne always has enough members on patrol, you are required to request a substitute for your patrol.

To make this process as easy and inclusive, we ask that you:

  1. Notify your Patrol Captain and/or Patrol Vice Captain as soon you know that you will be unavailable. The patrol roster for the season is published prior to the commencement of our Lifesaving year. Please put your rostered patrols in the calendar!

  2. Request a substitute through your SLSA Members Portal 
    If you need help, refer to the Patrol Swaps section in the SLSA Members Area user guide

  3. If you are unable to find a sub by Thursday the week of your patrol, let your Patrol Captain and the Club Captain know.
