Good luck to our Boaties who are competing in the Lifesaving World Championships 2018 being held in Adelaide. The entire competition runs from 16 November – 2 December and surf boats will be racing 22-24 November on Glenelg Beach.
The Lifesaving World Championships are conducted every 2 years, showcasing excellence in surf sports and rescue; attracting the most talented and skilled surf sports and rescue people to compete for the title of World’s best.
There are over 4500 lifesavers competing in Adelaide from all around the world including from countries such as Argentina, France, the UK and Sri Lanka.
The North Steyne Emulators will be competing in the Masters Men 240+. Crew members are Col Stanford (sweep), Damo O’Shannassy, Peter Chapman, Richard Donaldson and Robert Burges. With such a talented and tenacious crew, no doubt a podium finish is possible.
